On behalf of the Roaring Fork Fire Rescue Authority and all of our members, I wish to thank you for your interest in our department and welcome you to our website. I hope you find the information that you are searching for, if not I encourage you to contact us so that we can improve. The Roaring Fork Fire Rescue Authority was formed in 2018 by joining the Basalt and Rural and Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection Districts. Our service area is over 500 square miles of central Colorado, serviced out of five fire stations by 70 firefighters and medics. We pride ourselves in being a functioning combination fire department with a dedicated, talented career and volunteer staff. These dedicated firefighters and medics serve high-density occupancies in high-rise buildings within Snowmass Village and compact urban density within the Town of Basalt. Currently, the call volume is approximately 2300 calls annually, of which 80 percent are medical. The greatest threat and risk to our entire area served is wildfires.
